About the Board
The Pennsylvania Municipals all municipalities that adopt a zoning ordinance to create a Zoning Hearing Board. The Zoning Hearing Board in Findlay is composed of 3 residents and 1 alternate appointed by the Board of Supervisors. Members serve appointed terms of 3 years. A hearing board for zoning was 1st created in Findlay in 1970 as the Zoning Board of Adjustments.

The Zoning Hearing Board conducts hearings and renders decisions regarding zoning which involve variances based upon unique physical circumstances of lot topography or other physical conditions which create unnecessary hardship, special exceptions and appeals of the Zoning Officer's decision.
