Parks Department - Parks Custodian
The Findlay Township Board of Supervisors is looking for a part-time (up to 20 hours per week) Parks Custodian in the Parks and Recreation Department. Applicant must have a flexible schedule (no regularly set hours) and would be under the direction of the Parks Coordinator to complete all necessary work, as assigned. Typical duties include up-keep and maintenance of all park and recreation areas such as pavilion and restroom cleaning, litter pick-up, weeding of flower beds, set-up for pavilions and Activity Center. Prior parks maintenance experience would be preferred. Must possess valid PA driver's license. Familiarity with hand and power tools essential.
Starting wage is $12 an hour. Findlay Township is an EOE.

At the present time, the Public Hearing for the CONSOL DRILLING APPLICATIONS AT P.I.A has been continued to the March 12, 2014 Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting. Their meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Findlay Township Activity Center,
310 Main Street, Imperial.

TRASH AND RECYCLING NEWS
WASTE MANAGEMENT GETS CONTRACT FOR TRASH/RECYCLING …. Starting April 1, 2014, our Contract for Trash/Recycling has been awarded to Waste Management of Pennsylvania, Inc. They were the successful low bidder for our contract that covers April 1, 2014 to March 31, 2018. Most importantly, our collection day will be changing at that time to THURSDAYS rather than a Friday. From an economic standpoint, our rates will be going down and are scheduled as follows: (Our Existing Rate for curbside collection is $13.88 per month)
NEW RATES: April 1, 2014 to March 31, 2015 - $13.34 per month
April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016 - $13.61 per month
April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017 - $13.88 per month
April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018 - $14.16 per month
