The Municipal Authority
The Findlay Township Municipal Authority (FTMA) currently serves 1,967 customers of which 209 are commercial accounts and the rest are residential. The average daily water consumption for all customers is approximately 600,000 gallons per day.
The Authority’s field personnel are responsible for the daily operations of the water distribution system which includes: routine maintenance, meter installations and repair, meter readings, fire hydrant repair and maintenance, water sample collection and testing, water main breaks and repairs, and customer service troubleshooting. In addition, the Authority performs routine and emergency maintenance on the sewage collection system.
The FTMA office staff performs the following tasks which include: customer service inquiries, billing, accounts payable and receivable, general bookkeeping, lien letters and dye test requests.
The General Manager oversees the Authority's operations and reports to the Board of Directors. Currently, the Board consists of five members who serve five-year terms and are appointed by the Township Supervisors. FTMA conducts their monthly business meerings in the main meeting room of the Municipal Building at 1271 Route 30 in Clinton. The meetings are open to the public and begin at 6:00 p.m. on the fourth Monday of each month. In addition, FTMA also hosts a Workshop meeting on the second Monday of each month. These meetings also start at 6:00 p.m. and are located at the Findlay Township Municipal Building.
