WESTBURY PROJECT - DUQUESNE LIGHT
The start date for the Westbury Duquesne Light Project will be Monday, March 29th. The project ensures that the electrical infrastructure - the wires, transformers, substations, poles and other equipment enables the company's transmission and distribution system continue to deliver power safely and reliably to homes and businesses. To continue this service, it is necessary for Duquesne Light to repair and enhance the system from time to time.
To make these permanent improvements, Duquesne Light will have to interrupt residential electrical service. Ideally, the interruptions will last from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Generally, the outages will only impact certain streets each day. At 5 p.m. on a daily basis Duquesne Light will provide information regarding the times and street location of the next day's scheduled outage via a special telephone hotline. The hotline number is 412-393-6818. There will also be daily schedules and helpful tips on the website, www.duquesnelight.com under the "Infrastructure Project Update" link.
If any household member is on life support, please use the following link to notify Duquesne Light so that they may update their files and notify their field personnel:
